fuckyeahmarxismleninism: Aboriginal rights activist, Australia I had a few Australian friends growing up, but probably one of the earliest memories I have of conceiving of Australia as a state was during the election campaign of Pauline Hanson.  If you don’t know her, she was the lady who ran for Prime Minister, most famously on the tagline that the only real Australians were white Australians.  They didn’t vote her in, and I recall TV footage of huge protests against her, but she does represent a substantial population of white Australians who fear the huge immigration of Asians and think of the aboriginal population as useless.
