This is the setting in which the Aliens Versus Predator movies should have been in. Instead of doing something really cool and new with sets and uniforms and dusting off the pulse rifles and motion trackers, they just chose the contemporary setting. They probably did this because they were lazy, and thought the match was an easy win. Sadly box office did well enough. 

What made “Aliens” so cool was what you actually didn’t get to see. It was in the eerie beeps of the motion tracker while you couldn’t see anything, it was in watching the turrets count down their ammunition while you waited behind the door. 

This game, for its faults, actually got that very right. 

Hell, just watch the trailer, and you realize that that’s what the movie should have been.
