Sina ft Marc Say - Wa du bisch
So I mentioned I heard Swiss German music on the radio that I liked. I managed to track down the song, but unfortunately it’s not free to listen to, but the same artist does have some nice stuff on YouTube.

Abd al Malik - Mon Amour ft. Wallen
Etre ou pas un héros
j’ai le courage qu’il faut,
même si la chance me fait défaut.
Regarde comme ça déchire
nos douleurs, nos désirs
I first uploaded this in February 2011, and when I saw it again I was confused for about half a minute thinking “Was it really only last year?”
I took this outside a Youth Project in Biel, Switzerland, and I still find it really good. It’s not recorded, you can tell it’s live. I have no idea if they’re covering a song or they wrote this themselves or whatever. If someone could tell me that’d be great.
Ladyhawke - Black, White and Blue (Treasure Fingers remix on Radio 1)
I’ve decided that I much prefer listening to House music alone, rather than going clubbing. That way the songs don’t get ruined by local DJs messing around unnecessarily, or who are terrible mixers, or anything like that. There are so many limitations to clubbing.
But when it’s just you, your headphones, and the music, it’s awesome.
As you might already know, NASA’s Voyager 1 probe, which was launched 35 years ago, is about to become the first object from Earth to leave our solar system. As it makes its way into the unknown, it carries with it a gold record, inscribed with images and sounds from earth, a message in a bottle from our planet to the universe.
Izlel e Delyu Haydutin is a Bulgarian folk song and this performance of it by Valya Balkanska is on the gold record.
(If you want to hear another version, when Nevena Tsoneva won the first season of the talent show Music Idol, she sang it for her final performance. Personally, I think Nevena is adorable and has a great voice so have a link.)
I know your monster is exactly like mine,
and it’s better that you don’t stay alone,
And I know, I know and I don’t ask.
Hold yourself to me tight, climb on, and I’ll carry youI’ll become humongous for you
An elephant for you
I’ll carry you for miles and miles
Over land
And I’llCarry you as far as I can
I’ll carry you as far as I can
And at the end of the road, when I must,
I’ll carry you,
I’ll carry you over the river.
Wir sind Helden - Du erkennst mich nicht wieder (live)
I love this song so much. This version is particularly good too.
A String Quartet busking group at Marienplatz, Munich.
Oh you can totally hear my mother talking to me while I’m trying to record the video.
Konnexion Balkon Goes Classic
I don’t know the name of this either, and didn’t take this video, but good gods I love their music…
Konnexion Balkon - Libertango
Found them. I’m not sure what this song is, though seriously: Best busking ever.
